KIDS & KRITTERS CHILDREN’S EVENTS
10:00 a.m. -2:00p.m. April 19th, 2008
All events are free for children. No pre-registration is needed. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
APPEARING on the SALAMANDER STAGE AT 10:30 a.m.ANIMALS OF THE RAIN FOREST!
The Natural History Educational Company will present their Animals of the Rainforest program. The show will include a Giant Millipede, "Birdeating" Tarantula, Albino Burmese Python, a Coatimundi and Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches! All children attend free. Donations from adults are welcome.
10:00-2:00
- Horses! Take a ride on one of the friendly campus horses or ponies. (The children will be led.)
- Petting Zoo with snakes, turtles, bunnies and many more creatures to look at and hold.
- Hayrides! Take a short hayride to the Boy Scouts' tower. If you choose, you can jump off the wagon and climb the enormous log tower.
- Box lunches available $7.50 for adults, $5.00 for kids
- Popcorn and cotton candy!
- Hayride Adventure to Explore Widow's Crack, a huge cave on the SAS campus. The hayride will take you to a short trail which zigzags down a big hill to the bottom of the cave. A great chance to explore.
